Call for Abstracts

We are pleased to announce a call for abstracts to present a poster and/or demo during the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance Research Symposium, November 12–13, 2026 at Stanford. We welcome abstracts that are relevant to any aspect of human performance, including both basic science and translational or applied research. We define performance broadly to include both physical and cognitive performance, and individuals of all ages, genders, abilities, and sport/performance types.

Key Dates

  • Abstract Deadline: 11:59pm PT on August 14, 2026
  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: mid-September 2026
  • Event: November 12–13, 2026

Presentation Options

– Poster: Individuals who submit abstracts may be selected to present a poster during one of the poster sessions across the two days. We welcome abstracts relevant to any aspect of human performance, including basic science and translational or applied research. 

– Demo: Share an interactive demonstration of your technology or methods. 

– Poster + Demo: Combine both formats.

Note that a subset of submissions will be invited to give a short lightning talk during the main program.

Categories

Abstracts may be submitted under one or more of the following categories: 

  • Molecular and genetic mechanisms of performance
  • Regenerating tissues
  • Injury prevention and musculoskeletal health
  • Female athlete research
  • Mental health, resilience, and cognitive performance
  • Optimizing training, nutrition, and sleep
  • Biomechanics and computational modeling
  • AI and ML for performance
  • Wearable sensors
  • Novel devices for optimizing performance

Who Can Submit

Individuals at any career level are welcome to submit an abstract. Trainees will be eligible for awards.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Individuals interested in presenting at the Symposium should submit a short abstract through this form. Titles must be 90 characters or fewer. Abstracts must be 2000 characters or fewer, inclusive of spaces (approximately 250–300 words). Each potential presenter may submit a single abstract, but individuals may be co-authors on more than one abstract. Please note that accepted abstracts will be published on the Symposium website; consent to publication is required as part of submission. The deadline for submission is 11:59 PM PT on August 14, 2026.
