Register to attend the Female Athlete Conference 2023

Are you interested in female athlete performance? Hormones? Recovery from bone stress? Mental health? The Female Athlete Conference 2023 will cover these topics and more as they dive deep into research in athletic girls and women and how to translate those studies into optimal, interdisciplinary clinical care.

The event’s keynote speaker will be American middle-distance runner Mary Cain, who wrote the New York Times opinion piece “I Was the Fastest Girl in America, Until I Joined Nike.” The upcoming sessions will also feature a number of speakers from the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance, including:

      • Dr. Emily Kraus, Director of the Stanford Female Athlete Science and Translational Research (FASTR) Program, who will be discussing virtual education for female athletes, as well as considerations for returning to sports after bone stress injuries.
      • Dr. Kathryn Ackerman, Director of the Alliance’s Female Athlete Program, who will discuss contraception options for family planning and also an international collaborative approach to education and care for elite female athletes.

The in-person sessions will be held from June 14-16, 2023, while the virtual content will be available online from June 23-July 21, 2023.
