Call for oral sessions and abstract: 8th biennial international Female Athlete Conference 2027

The 8th Biennial International Female Athlete Conference will be held June 16–18, 2027, at the Seaport Hotel in Boston and is accepting proposals for oral sessions and poster abstracts. This year’s theme is Strategies for Health and Performance. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. EDT on October 1, 2026.
The Female Athlete Conference (FAC) Scientific Committee welcomes proposals from anyone working to improve female athlete health and performance across all ages, competitive levels, and sporting environments. The conference audience is multidisciplinary, spanning researchers, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists, social workers, athletic trainers, dietitians, physical therapists, policymakers, coaches, athletes, and parents.
What to submit
Oral sessions run 20 or 40 minutes and may take the form of a podium presentation (up to two presenters) or a panel discussion (up to five). All oral sessions must be delivered in person and will be recorded for the on-demand program. Proposals for research symposia, clinical symposia, panels, and other educational formats are all welcome.
Poster abstracts must present original research, with one presenting author per poster. Submitters may request either an in-person presentation at the FAC Poster Reception or a virtual presentation for the on-demand program. Awards will be given for oral presentations and for the best in-person and virtual posters.
Suggested topic areas include clinical care and sports medicine, sports science and performance, sports nutrition, mental health, coaching and athlete development, developmental and lifespan considerations, sport and society, community and public health, intersectionality and equity, para sport, sports biomechanics and engineering, and emerging research and innovation.
